Bloodoff can play, but will he?
CIS player of the year Lucas Bloodoff has played maybe a handful of shifts in two games for the Saint Mary’s Huskies. The 6’2, 225lb forward has received a five minute major and a game misconduct for head contact in each of the Huskies two games at the University Cup but will not be suspended for Sunday’s championship final.
Saint Mary’s head coach Trevor Steinburg revealed that Lucas has been playing with a broken hand in the tournament and in trying to bring something to the table (physical play) has got himself in a little trouble. It is still to be determined if he will play on Sunday as Steinburg said ‘it may be best to keep Lucas in his cage.’
